The Parlotones at Emnotweni

The Parlotones

Started in 1998, this Johannesburg band has achieved multiplatinum selling status in South Africa. They have also toured extensively in Germany, the UK and the USA. They have been described as rock, pop, indie and alternative. Take your pick! That is the versatility of this phenomenal band.

Based on the success of their Antiques & Artefacts launch tour, The Parlotones have announced the second leg of their launch tour set to take them to parts of the country they have not travelled to for some time.

The new record consists of a collection of tracks, compiled over a period of time at the now reputable Belville Studios in Cape Town. With the band’s usual welcoming energy and style, ‘Antiques & Artefacts’ will now take this quartet on an altogether new journey. This is their first release, on their own, without any assistance from a label.

The group will be performing old hits, as well as material from their new album, Antiques & Artefacts which comes hot on the heels of their critically acclaimed Stand Like Giants’ album.
