Innibos Laeveld Nasionale Kunstefees is an iconic Afrikaans arts festival showcasing the best of Afrikaans music, theatre, cabaret, children’s theatre, literature and the visual arts – ‘innibos’ is happening right now in the heart of Nelspruit. This Innibos 2016 edition will be taking place from 29 June – 2 July 2016 at various locations around Nelspruit.
Every year Innibos Laeveld Nasionale Kunstefees welcomes an ever increasing influx of people. This amazing festival received accolades at the Fiesta Awards in Cape Town, where it was voted the country’s most popular festival!
The key attractions of Innibos are the performances, some 200 musicians, actors and artists showcase their talents at this wonderful and entertaining family-friendly festival.
In addition to the performances, over 200 numerous art, craft, and food stalls open up to the public and create a vibrant epicentre for the festival.
The festival restaurant and beer garden is open to provide a retreat for those in need of refreshments and food amidst the excitement, hustle and bustle of Innibos. A fully equipped and supervised kid’s entertainment’s area is also available to keep the little ones active and amused for the duration of the festival.
There will also be a ‘book crawl’, where festival-goers are able to board a bus and travel from stop to stop listening to various writers talk about their books and give book readings.

Soweto String Quartet comes to Emnotweni
Proudly South African and classically trained outfit, The Soweto String Quartet, will be performing, for one night only, at Emnotweni; Riverside Park for the first time on Friday, 05 August.
Rising Afrikaans songstress, Charlize Berg, will be the opening act and will later join the Quartet for a dazzling collaboration performance.
For fans and classic music lovers alike, this is one event that is not to be missed!
